Can I Do It or NOT!

 

Well as some of you may know I started kickboxing on March 2nd. I had been procrastinating but finally went and I can say that I really enjoy it. It is so much fun even though I sweat and get my butt kicked. It is a great workout. I also started walking/running during lunch or after work on the days I do not go to kickboxing. I have cut down from 6 sodas a day to about 1-2 a day and try my hardest to consume 6-8 glasses of water a day. I also now take my lunch to work instead of eating out every day. My habits have changed tremendously BUT....I don't see the weight coming off. I'm getting kind of bummed about it. I know that I have a lot more energy and also my endurance has gone up. My first week of kickboxing I could not even do 1 push up or do jump roping or a lot of other things. I can say after 10 kickboxing classes I can do a lot more push ups then 1, I can do about a lot more jump roping without stopping, about 85 jumps. I can do lungs and so much more. I feel the difference in my body, I feel so much better but I do not see the weight dropping off.  I know I should be patient. 

 

But when. Do not worry I will not be giving up. I have a contract with Kickboxing so I am stuck for a year so I guess that is a good thing.

On another note I am so proud of myself because last Thursday I ran 2 miles straight without stopping. I am so thrilled. Check out my status from my Nike

Wow! Can you believe that! So I decided I would try it again. So on Saturday I went for it again and I did it without stopping....Whooo Hooo!

and guess what I did it again today. I came home from kickboxing and went straight to run. 

I am so excited and proud of myself.....I am going to start to do more cardio also. 

I will continue to drink my water and go to my kickboxing classes on M/W/F and continue to run. I will not give up.

by the numbers..............................

Last week I found a blog that I have enjoyed stalking  reading. She had a post about by the numbers so I thought, "hey great idea." So here's mine .

by the numbers.......

2- # of days Dylan has until his 1st basketball practice for A.C.A.

       # of times I hit the snooze button this morning.

4- # of Hershey Nuggets with almonds I ate today....

5- # of days Dylan has left to complete his Pinewood Derby car for the race on Saturday.

6-# of days till Hannah can start selling Girl's Scout Cookies....so be ready...

15- # of minutes I was late to work this morning.

3- # of times I went back into the house because i forgot something.

10- the amount of gas I put in my car this morning.

 15 or more- the # of kicks that I got from Micah last night in bed.



30- # of pens I had at my desk today that I was using.

50- How much I wish I had to spare so I could start kickboxing this month. :(

60- How many minutes it took for me to help my 2 kids with their homework. What a night!

 

A NEW PET....

Look who has a new pet....NOT....

 We believe we have a squirrel who is living in our tree.

Can you see her? She was just watching us. My kids were so amazed.

Pooped

What a day!

Today was a very productive day, I mean productive.

Today I washed 7 loads of laundry and I folded and put them all away. I reorganized my closet, reorganized Hannah's room, clean the fridge out. Dylan deeped cleaned his room and so much more. I am pooped. 

Here are a few pictures of my closet. It feels so good to see it so organized again. I am always reorganizing things. I moved Micah's clothes again into my closet since I have the biggest closet and I like to keep his clothes organized. 

so here is my top of the closet. I only like white hangers for Vince, Dylan and I. My sweaters are on the left side then the rest is color coded. (hee Hee)

so here is the bottom part of my closet and holds my pants/slacks. Also white hangers but little white ones only. And they are color coded also. I dont think that i have a lot of clothes because I am always purging. If i do not wear it within a couple of months then it is in the giveaway bucket. i also do this with my kids clothes. 

here is Micah's side and on the right is Dylan and Hannah's school clothes. So hannah's has pink and Dylan's has white hangers.  Micah has red hangers but i need 3 more red hangers so i need more....lol... his clothes are color coded also. 

i even have a section for all my purses. Yes I am a purse freak. i have 17 purses....Hee hee....My hubby had to put up another board because it was wasted space up there and look I can now store more of my purses.

ok so here is my shoe section. i have 21 shoes here but in another corner i have about 8 more plus a basket of my sandals......I am a shoe freak too but i can say that i can get rid of them very easily so i can make room for more. I recently purged about 6 shoes....My shoes are color coded also. 

so here is the last piece of my closet. There is the basket for dirty clothes, easy assemble for the little ones to put there dirty clothes in after  bath time since they shower in our bath room. You will see Micah's shoes next to my basket full of sandals. Micah has 5 pairs of shoes...not bad...as for his sister Hannah she has over 20 something.....hee hee...

So as you can see i was a busy bee today and feel very good because my house is actually in some what of an order. Laundry done for the week and closet organized again. I will post later pictures of Hannah's closet. It is just as organized....

AQUARIUM

 MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY

We found out that the Aquarium was having a dollar day for Martin Luther King so my hubby and grammy decided to take the kids to the Aquarium. This was Micah's first visit to the aquarium and he had a blast. I was told he was amazed and could not believe what he was seeing. How cute! All the kids had a great day.
