Week 33: Aug 14th thru Aug 20th

August 14th 

Micah you are so funny. Every time I pull out the camera and you hear the click you turn and smile. I try to get pictures of what you are doing but now you turn around and smile. You are so silly. love ya. 

 

August 15th

Micah you had a birthday this past weekend and you received cash and lots of gift cards. As I was leaving to take your sister to get tennis shoes for school, you insisted that you go with me. So i decided why not? I would surprise you and take you to Game Stop, boy were you excited.  You got 1 DS game and 1 Wii game. 

 

August 16th

Boy was this the scariest night for me. I know you will probably laugh but to me it was a big deal. As i came home from ballroom dancing lessons i was going to take a picture of Micah and my recently new lens started making a weird noise. My heart about dropped. If anyone knows me then you know that my camera is always attached to me. So i decided to change to my 300mm lens and my camera worked. So I felt a little better that it was not the camera but only the lens. Well I looked for my reciept and the date i bought my lens was 8/2/11 from Best Buy and the receipt said you can only return within 14 days. Well guess what! That night was the 14th day and it was 9:36 p.m. and Best Buy was closed. Boy was my stomaching hurting. I immediately got on Amazon and bought another lens 18-55mm but of course that would not get to me on time for my kids starting school Thursday. I asked my AWESOME HUBBY if he could go during lunch to see if they would return it or exchange for another lens. I knew if i went that i would probably go postal on them if they wouldn't return it. My hubby goes and like nothing they return it and check to see if they have another one and they only had 1 left. WOW! I was super excited when he called to tell me the news. So as you can see, my camera is very special to me. I love to take pictures of my kids every day. I love it. 

August 17th 

The night before the first day of school. I go by the rooms to take a picture of the kids asleep and i find Hannah and Dylan asleep but little MICAH was not. I got him playing his DS. He is something else. 

August 18th

First Day of School for the Cortinas family. 

August 19th

Another picture of my kids before school and since the 1st day did not go good for Micah, i got a picture of him and his teacher today. He actually ran up to her and gave her a hug. awww.

 August 20th

My beautiful daughter Hannah. Every since her cousin Lexi curled her hair she has been requesting that her hair be curled. So Saturday was a girls day. i curled her hair, painted her toe nails and hands. She was super excited. You look beautiful Hannie. 

This was our week.

Week 13: Project Life (March 13th thru March 19th)

    Week 13 Already! Enjoy 

 I love my niece to come over. She is a great baby and is so happy. Always smiling.

 Happy 10 year Anniversary Patrick and Angie.

 My cousin Amy and her family came down from Houston and we had a BBQ. Her daughter Amanda adored Angelina.

 I was putting something away in the refrigerator and look what I found in there. Yes, Micah's DS on the top shelf. I could not help but run and get my camera. When I asked him if he did this, of course his answer was "NO".

 I have two pictures for Thursday. I came out of the shower this morning to find my niece just loving on my pillow. Isn't this adorable. 

The bottom picture are my kids and niece Angelina posing for "St. Patrick's Day".

 Look who my kids bumped into right at 5 o'clock, yes...Mr. Webster. They did not even give him a chance to change out of his work clothes.

 And finally my husband did an awesome job on the garden he and the kids put together. This is mine and his box, the kids have their own. We have 2 types of lettuce, asparagus, and tomatoes in ours. Great Job Hunny.

Here is Hannah and her buddy Carissa at Sunday night worship service. Carissa hung out with Hannah all day today and let me tell you they played and played and played. They were outside jumping in the trampoline and then playing with our neighbor. They were sweating and dirty by the time 6 pm came around. I quickly took both of them a shower and dressed them for Sunday night worship. They were exhausted but had such a great time having a play date. 

Monday, Feb. 28, 2011

I had Micah get in the shower to bath and so he did, but when he was suppose to get out and get dressed I found this. I turned around from my computer dress to find him on the toilet doing #2. I got a kick out of this because why didn't he go before he took a shower instead he waited until afterwards. It was too funny, he was just staring down I guess waiting for it to come on out....Too funny...

Today was a great day for both my nephew B.B. and daughter Hannah. 

Hannah went on a field trip that I had to miss but her daddy was there for her. She went to HEB and had a great time. As for my nephew he made the cheerleading team at "Moody". I am so proud of him.

March 2, 2011 Wednesday

Today Dylan had his basketball game against St. Cyril. I had to miss this one again because of month end at work. BUMMER....but of course my hubby tagged me in and was there to support Dylan. They ended up losing today but by one point. it was 14-15...very close game...Good Job Dylan

Saturday, March 5, 2011Today Hannah went to her first day camp for Girl's Scouts. She was so excited and her daddy and I supported her and was with her all day long. Even thought the day started off driving to the camp in rain and then a cold front came in we stuck it out. The best thing about her camp was her Row boat ride. She was a trooper.

Week 8: Project Life ( Feb. 20 thru Feb 26)

   Wow! Week 8 already! Where has the time gone. Enjoy. 

 Feb. 20, 2011Today was Angelina's 1st time at Solid Rock. She did great. She fell asleep during praise and worship. My aunt and I got her this Bumbo so here she is posing for her auntie. What A Cutie Pie!

Feb. 21, 2011I go by every night to check on my kiddos, especially to see where Micah is sleeping at. Sometimes he's in his bed and other times you find him here, "Yes with his big sister Hannah".

Feb. 22, 2011Tonight was "World Thinking Day" for Girl's Scouts. Hannah and her Troop 9652 had the country Greece. Each girl's scout troop who signed up had a different country so they made a food for that country and then a swap to give to the girls and then the girls had their passport signed by each country. There were about 15-20 different countries that they girls were able to learn about and taste the food. 

Feb. 23, 2011Today was Dylan and his teammates played against IWA and guess what we won again.13-8It was a great game, I am so proud of my son he did super. Way to go Dylan!

Feb. 24, 2011We took the kids and my nephew Christian to the "Rock and Worship Road Show".  We loved it. We saw several different Christian bands. ( Jars of Clay, LeCrae, Mercy Me, Matt Maher). This will be the last concert we take our 4 and 6 year old. They are still not ready for concerts. Other than that we had a great time. 

Feb 25, 2011I have two pictures for this day. One of my Awesome nephew B.B. who had his Cheer tryouts in front of the crowd. He did awesome. I am so proud of him. Later that night my husband and I went to "A Night of Hope" w/Joel Olsteen at the American Bank Center. That was awesome.

We running errands on Saturday and we stopped by Momo's house to visit with Angelina. She is always smiling. I just love this baby so much.

 February 13, 2011My son found Chinese Checkers in my closet that was unopened and wanted to play so while Dad napped and the kids played in their rooms we played a game of Chinese Checkers. Guess who Won? That's right ...Big MAMA! 

Monday, February 14, 2011Valentine's Day! My hubby bought me my Brighton charm bracelet with a charm and two spacers that I have been wanting. Oh how I love it. Thanks Hunny!

February 16, 2011My son Dylan playing Basketball with his team mates against Most Precious Blood. They won 11-4. Way to go Warriors. 

February 17, 2011Today was Grammy's birthday so we took her a cake, ice cream, balloons and flowers to celebrate with her. 

February 18, 2011Tonight was Cookie Rally for Hannah and the Girl's Scouts. We took Angelina with us and of course she loves to pose for Auntie. Hannah had a great time sewing a bag out of a shirt. 

February 19, 2011I had the privilege to take care of my niece Angelina for the weekend. My Nana and I bought her a Bumbo and she sat there playing and of course I had to take a picture of her asleep so peacefully.

Sunday, February 6, 2011 They finally arrived. My brother, his girlfriend and their baby (yes my niece) arrived to Texas safely. They are officially Texans....and I get to see my niece everyday. Isn't she adorable? I just love her smile. I love you Angelina Olivia 

 Monday, February 7, 2011As you can tell I can't get enough of my niece. I say she is my 4th child....I just love her. Afterwork I picked her up and took her home with me for a couple of hours. We went to Target and could not resist taking a picture of her beautiful smile.   

 Tuesday, February 8, 2011This morning Hannah showed me the mask she made at school, isn't it adorable. We also celebrated my brother in law's birthday at Kikos. Here he is with his family and a sombrero. Dont you just love his baby giving him a kiss...Awwwwww...Devin I love you.

I came home for lunch and look who I found all dressed up ready to pose for her Auntie. She is so photogenic. I put on her bow and off we were having a photo shoot....I know call me crazy but I can take a picture of her and my kids and other nephews and niece everyday. I love all of them so much.

February 11, 2011

Busy day today I worked half a day today because I had Hannah's Valentines Party to go to and take pictures of them, I had to still put Dylan's shadow box for his Cub Scout banquet together then get Hannah's outfit ready for later that night. The Valentines Kinder party went great, they had ice cream and Ms. Williams read them the book , "Saint Valentine" (cute book by the way) and then at the end they took their group picture with the LOVE sign I made. Isn't it adorable? I also photographed Angelina with the Love Sign to make her Valetines Cards. Later that evening Hannah and her Daddy went to their 1st Daddy and Daughter 50's Sock hop for Girls Scout. Thanks to her Auntie Linda who whipped up her poodle skirt in a jippy. She was so excited that her and her Daddy danced. They had a ball. We also had my oldest Cub Scout Banquet. He recieved the Arrow of Light award and pin and then crossed over to a BOYS SCOUT...oh my! A Boys Scout already...Boy are they growing up. I am so proud of my children.

Today my hubby and I decided to celebrate Valentine's early so we dropped off the kids to my Dad and Grandma to watch and we went to eat at "Cheddars". We had never been there. We also went to Boots and Britches to the Brighton store to get my charm bracelet and 3 charms. Thanks Hunny!

I also had my chidren pose and take a picture with the LOVE sign for our Valnetines Cards. I could not resist taking a picture with Angelina. Hannah received roses from her Daddy. He gets her flowers every year.

Week 5: Jan 30th thru Feb 5

Jan 30th - Sunday_Twice a year my job has us auditing different departments in the hospital. Well this year I had the privilege to audit OR at Memorial on a FREAKING Sunday...ughhhhh.....Don't they know that is the Lord's day and we rest after church? apparently they did not get the memo! We sat around and waited about 45 minutes before we even started so I decided to take photos of me and my co-workers....

Jan 31st....Here is Micah getting ready for bed but before he goes to bed he picks up a hair on the floor and holds on to it. He rubs it in a ball and just hold on to it. if you look at his thumb where he is holding the bear you will see his thumb is jacked up....He sucks that thumb and only that thumb. I can not seem to break the habit. It looks deformed...lol...

Feb 1st
Tonight was Open House at Annapolis Christian Academy where my kids attend school. We were in the cafeteria after visiting next year's teachers and Hannah was playing with her friends. There are only 10 students including Hannah in her classroom. I love the bond that they all have. 

Feb. 2nd- Today was Dylan's 1st Basketball as a 4th grader. I was so proud of him, he played the entire game, you could tell he was huffing and puffing my the end of the 1st quarter but he held his head up and stuck it out. Great job Dylan!

Feb 3rd- Today was a crazy night, it was the night of the crazy weather. We were predicted to get a bit of Snow but instead we got ice everywhere and it was cold. It was late and Vince went outside to check it out and came back with a leaf that had ice already....

Feb. 4th- This is what we woke up to...ICE...ICE...ICE... This was around 10 a.m. and hubby was scrapping the ice off the windshield then he said he was rolling down the windows and it looked like the window was never rolled down because there was a sheet of ice on the outside...Isn't this a cool picture?

Feb 5th- Tonight I had to go to a Scentsy meeting @ Kristin's house and of course I love to take pictures of her baby "Brylee". She is adorable.
