I finally accomplished my fear!

"WoW" Today I finally accomplished something that has been on my to do list for awhile. I finally tried Taekwondo today. Yes me.......I was so scared today because on Tuesday when i sat in on my husband's adult class, he was working them out hard. At the end he had them doing 10 push ups then 10 sit ups, then go to 20 then 30 until he said STOP. My goodness I was tired just looking at them. I have been wanting to join Taekwondo for a while. My son and husband are currently in it. My son is a advanced blue and my husband is a green belt. I have been struggling with losing weight and decided that I needed something intense like Taekwondo because boy do you get a work out. The last 20 minutes we sparred each other, and Yes I put all the gear on and went at it. Boy do you sweat, i know tomorrow i will be very sore. I moved muscles that I didn't even know I had. Ha While sparring with a black belt woman named "Jackie Heinz", I totally munched it, I mean I saw Stars. I feel to the ground. I was doing a round house kick and totally somehow slid and fell. I had to take off my helmet so I could catch my breathe. I got right back into fighting after a few seconds, when I really wanted to do was cry. Ha When we were done I was sweaty, Boy did I get a workout. So since I go to school on Tuesdays & Thursday I will be taking private lessons. So anyone interested in going halves with me, let me know, it is a good workout. So now I can check Taekwondo off my list. It has been accomplished.

Government Assistance!

How long can you receive food stamps for?

the problem with federal aid is that over time a person goes from feeling some kind of shame for needing the help to feeling that the government owes them for whatever they can justify in their mind. I don't know how they make the transition but I have noticed it in numerous cases. Their inlays the problem because the beneficiary passes this jaded position along to other family members. That is when you get generations of people living on federal assistance and having no shame and no intention of of standing on their own. Simply put : If you are not required to work many will not and the parameters put forth to receive aid are easily overcome

I found this article on the internet and am so puzzled. That people get into a rut that they begin to live comfortable living off the government. Shouldn't the government assistance be temporary. These mothers who have all these children and then go and ask for help. But the question is you got yourself in this predicament so get yourself out. There is so much help out there not to get pregnant but these women think anyways i can get help and not work and live off the system. This really bugs me because I know someone who is like this. I see no motivation in this person to do better for herself for the sake of her children. Instead is proud to say, "oh i got my section 8 so I am looking for a house kind of cheap so the rest of the voucher can pay for light and water." When does this women every plan to get a real job and reach goal that she has never met. Never why?
  1. If she were to get a job then the food stamps would lower the amount she receives, then that limits her.
  2. If she were to get a job then she would have to begin to pay rent and why would she want that?
  3. If she were to get a job then maybe she would not qualify for Medicaid.
This just really bugs me, because there are so many people out in this world that need some assistance for awhile and don't qualify. I think the government needs to enforce more responsibilities on these type of people. If you are going to get all this assistance then why not get the assistance of child care. They provide that.

This system is so screwed up.

Walmart

As my husband and I and the kiddos were going to on Everhart. we drove up and found this maybe 3 year old little boy outside the garden crying his heart out. We stopped the van and I jumped out and asked him where his parents were. He really could not talk, so I got him by the hand and started walking into the Walmart to get help. As I was walking this lady from the parking lot said, "Hey this couple was fighting and walked off and left the kids there."
I was like What? I could not believe these parents knowing what century we live in and all the crazy things you here on the news would leave there son outside. I was so irritate, I could not even think. I walked into Walmart and as I was taking him to an employee at the customer service, his mother walked up and the little boy ran to her. I looked at her and said, " do you know he was outside". She looked at me with a smirk and said nothing and walked off. I froze then because there was so much that i wanted to say to this lady but Froze. What parent does that? There are some sick people out in this world. I could not stop thinking about this situation. What were these parents thinking?
  • We they trying to teach him a lesson?
  • Were they only thinking about themselves?
  • Were they high on something?
The question I have again is why do people bring kids in this world if they no they are not ready for parenthood.?

Adrik's Pre-K Meet the Teacher!

Here is my nephew, he will be attending Yeager with Dylan. Adrik will be in Pre-K and by just looking at these pictures you can see how ecstatic he was. Uncle Vince stated that he left the school saying, "That's my school, that's my school". He will do just fine on his 1st day of school.

Meet the Teacher.

Today August 22, 2008 was Meet the Teacher @ Yeager Elementary. I was excited today because this week in the mail Dylan received a postcard from his upcoming 3rd grade teacher Ms. Molina. She scored some points, because as you all know I love to scrapbook and this is perfect for these photos. Dylan will be in 3rd grade this year. Boy can I remember when he was only a baby. To me he is still my baby Dill.

Parents Who dont care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay! As I was driving home yesterday from work I came across a car of young parents. What puzzled or should I say upset me was there was a baby in the backseat in a carrier with another person in the backseat. As I am at the stop light I see that they are SMOKING. Let me ask you, How can you smoke in the vehicle with all the windows rolled up and your baby in the car?" Are you stupid? Apparently.....Gosh I get so irritated and upset when i see things like this. Why do people bring kids into this world if they just don't care. You know smoking is bad especially second degree smoke, so why do it. Man this world is messed up.

Another battle I have is How can a mother not give your children the shots that they need. How can your child be 2 years old and only have up to her two months shots. How stupid can you be? You can not tell me that the parent cares because that is plain selfishnesses. What are you to lazy to take your child to the doctor? Is this not on your priority list. Come on....if you love your child then your children will come first. Why again, do parents bring children in this world if that is not what they want. Your priorities are set wrong. I would never think about neglecting my child like that.

Some parent's cant have children and would give there life to have children and some parent's just dont care and have children and neglect them. That is messed up.

Dont you think?
